The general objective of the educational material:

This measure aims to describe a set of data, organize it, classify it, summarize it, display it in a clear way in the form of tables or graphs, and calculate various statistical measures to describe a variable (or more) in a population.

Learning objectives (skills to be achieved):

After studying Statistics 1, the student will be able to:

- Mastering the basic concepts of descriptive statistics.

- Summarizing and tabulating data in the form of tables and representing them graphically.

- Calculating and interpreting various basic measures: measures of central tendency, dispersion, shape, and concentration.

- Analyzing and quantifying the relationship between two variables and measuring the strength and direction of this relationship.

- Calculating index numbers and learning about their meaning, utility and use.

- Using the most important assistance programs (Excel) to display data and calculate the most important indicators that were discussed.
