Third year of Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy

Introduction to Modern Western Philosophy :

Modern Western Philosophy is a course that belongs to the curriculum for the third year of the Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy in the fifth semester. It includes the most important modern philosophical trends and stages of philosophical thinking in the modern era.

The purpose of this course is to introduce students to the most prominent stations of modern philosophy, with the possibility of distinguishing between its various trends and identifying the most important problems addressed by philosophers in the modern era, especially the philosophy of the Enlightenment, which enables the student to do more than the course, as he is familiar with prior acquisitions and knowledge through his knowledge of Greek philosophy, Christian philosophy, Islamic philosophy and Jewish philosophy.

The student acquires from the subject of Modern Western Philosophy the abilities that enable him to distinguish between the various trends of modern philosophy in addition to identifying and clarifying the various contributions made by the philosophers of the Renaissance and Enlightenment in solving a number of philosophical problems with direct dealing and multiple readings of the sources produced by the great philosophers from the seventeenth to the nineteenth centuries. Thus, the student acquires the ability to think critically and analyze, as well as comprehend the stages of development of philosophical thought in modern times and the ability to link philosophy to contemporary life.

التعريف بمادة فلسفة غربية حديثة:

 

مادة فلسفة غربية حديثة تنتمي للمقرر الدراسي لمستوى السنة الثالثة ليسانس تخصص فلسفة في السداسي الخامس و تتضمن أهم الاتجاهات الفلسفية الحديثة و مراحل التفكير الفلسفي في العصر الحديث.

إن الهدف من هذه المادة هو  تعرف الطلبة على أبرز محطات الفلسفة الحديثة مع إمكانية التمييز بين مختلف اتجاهاتها و التعرف على أهم الإشكاليات التي تناولها الفلاسفة في العصر الحديث، و خاصة فلسفة الأنوار،و الأمر الذي يمكن الطالب أكثر من المادة كونه ملم بمكتسبات و معارف مسبقة من خلال معرفته بالفلسفة اليونانية    و  الفلسفة المسيحية و  الفلسفة الإسلامية واليهودية.

يكتسب الطالب من مادة فلسفة غربية حديثة قدرات تمكنه على التمييز بين مختلف اتجاهات الفلسفة الحديثة بالإضافة إلى تحديد و تبيان مختلف الإسهامات التي قدمها فلاسفة عصر النهضة و التنوير في حل جملة من الإشكاليات الفلسفية مع التعامل المباشر و القراءات المتعددة لمصادر التي أنتجها كبار الفلاسفة من القرن السابع عشر إلى القرن التاسع عشر و بذلك يكتسب الطالب القدرة على التفكير النقدي و التحليل كما يستوعب فهم مراحل تطور الفكر الفلسفي في العصور الحديثة و القدرة على ربط الفلسفة بالحياة المعاصرة.
